Soon after you said there's a difference. I realized that it has something to do with the crumple zone(s) that results in less impact force to the occupant(s).

Regardless of difference in the force felt by the occupants of vehicles or pedestrians, unsafe car should have time invested to investigate the cause of the issue.

Unless you are standing without any thing around you in the middle of the 2 cars when they collided, it won't be 70mph inertia. The impact will be felt by either of the driver is much less due to the resistance of the 2 cars collided. It's much more harmful to a pedestrian than a driver. It's been over 20 years since I had to do physics, but the drivers won't feel the full force of the impact. Sorry I can't help with the actual formula.

well preparing for tomorrow i notice that the wheels have have play in them when i shake them side to side .( not top to bottom ) could this also be a sing of bad wheel bearings ?

Take it to a shop now before you kill yourself or anyone else.

Seeing as you had it all apart and couldn't locate the problem, suggests that you don't know what you are doing.

I doubt it will be the wheel bearings, more likely the rack and/or rack ends.

normally i do all this work my self and i try to keep it that way . i think its the gear near the top of the housing because i got it back up and the housing on top was the only spot that got wet again . i reached up grabbed it this time. (did not do this last time ) i was able to move it a 1/2 turn . so i am removing the rack to replace it .

so when i pulled down the rack i was able to put it on my bench and check it out . i notice when moving it ( shacking) it mode noise like teeth where broken off . so i replaced the rack with inner tie rods . i inspected the outer tie rods they where showing age so i replaced them along with the disc / brakes / axles / ball joints and wheel bearings since i was already down there and taking them off . i just got back from taking the car for a drive . it drives like new again. time for aliment .

How hard was it to take the axle nuts off? Did you have to use an impact wrench? What about those 4x12pt nuts from the bearing off?

To get the Axel nut off (*lol nut * ) i stood on it took about a hour to get it off do to i have no impacted gun . for the those 4x12pt nuts from the bearing's i borrowed this weird looking tool from my dad .
