My cars messed up?

Today,I start the car and the key came out of the ignition while stuck in the on position(All the way cranked).I go to put it in 1st and hear a high pitched sound.Not a grinding sound.the car stayed on, but everytime you put your foot on the clutch the sound came back.I couldnt turn the car off with the key so i disconnected the battery.Any info. and thoughts would help!

ahahah.. its the starter kicking on.. our cars have a clutch switch.. where if u dont have the clutch pressed in... u cant turn on the car.. (Doh) good thing urs hasnt gone bad(been removed) because if it was ur starter would be going ape shit.. u need to fix the ignition or get a new one (with key) best of luck
