I am going to try that today. And I noticed something else today too, the coolant overflow was low as I had filled it a few days ago and now it's low again. I thinking coolant is getting somewhere it shouldn't. And there is light smoke at idle and when it is warm it goes away unless I get on it hard. It's weird.

^^^^What you said along with white smoke issue let me to think trouble with head gasket on this engine.
If coolant is finding its way into combustion chamber, the spark plug may not have any deposit accumulated. Or, plug(s) maybe cleaned due to steam cleaning action because of that sneaky coolant.A&P-IA

Mine had a slow coolant leak for about two years. I would fill it up about once a month. Plugs where white when I removed them. Also when I put on my header the old header had white residue on the inside. I assumed this was coolant being burned. I also had a stumble on the first start up in the morning. It would stumble then run fine after that for the rest of the day.
I redid the head new head gasket. And no more coolant disappearing.
Your problem sound similar. As long as you watch the coolant level and stop several times to fill it up you will prob be ok. But I would sort of calculate the loss of coolant per miles driven and then decide. If you are loosing the whole overflow bottle in 200 miles I would say don't risk it. But if you are loosing half per 400 then you can just top off the reservoir when you fill up for gas
That's just my opinion. You have to do what you feel comfortable with.
