im also speaking in inches, and i agree from the factory, if you tore down an engine you would find .0015" but when measuring their out of tolerance spec is .004-.005" depending on the motor, which is definitely loose. but when i drop an engine off to be bored and the machinist asks me what clearances i want to run, i say .002-.003INCHES or .05-.076mm. wed3k, you are entirely correct. anywho, to the OP, get that compression test done yet?
