    Coupe seat belt- Driver's

Another problem with the Villian, (91 coupe).
The drivers' power seat belt doesn't retract or move, The indicator light stays on but belt stays in forward position, I think the light would go off if belt moved to "on driver". What fuse commands this? Oh..The passenger's side works fine.

Take it to Honda, it may be under warranty. Find the seatbelt thread, the information is in there.

EDIT: NVM found it for you... http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthre...69#post3052069

Thank you...Printing it out. Just a word....it says "useful life" I wonder if they (Honda) thought these cars would still be not only useful, but in some cases even more useful and better running 20 years plus later? And, I see nothing claiming it has to be the original owner. Good info!

One thing I would suggest you try before you go to honda. The seat belts are triggered by the door lock actuator, take the door panel off, there's a 3 wire connector that plugs to the actuator. It will have a black wire in the middle. If you unpug the connector and jump the black wire to one of the 2 colored wires and it triggers the seat belt anchor to retract, the you will need to replace the actuator. Unfortunately it's not covered, but you'll save yourself a trip and possibly a diagnostic charge from the dealer.

With the printed papers in hand...I went with Joe to the Honda Dealer in Valencia (If any of you live in the San Fernando Valley, 100% avoid the Kolbie dealership:rude ass humans) Well because of that paper, it will be dealt with. So far they said it will be covered. We will go back Monday, lets see what they say. More on this Monday evening.

honda won't warranty the motorized portions of the seatbelt. So if its related to the track at all. You're SOL. I went to Honda to fix mine and they wanted to charge me 120 bucks to fix it.

Well I got the call and you're right...I'm SOL. Not covered and at least 400 bucks! Honda knew you'd need it someday. Now to really see if it is that part- cause it worked one day and didn't the next. Can someone give me a diagnostic tip. OK lets say it is...can one be found in junk yard or from another member? Can they be removed easily...I saw the diagram on Majestic...but don't know which part it was. Oh ..even when manually clicked that light on dash is blinking and the noise...oh the sound is driving us crazy!

My car's seatbelt wasn't retracting and I took it to the dealer. They fixed Both of my seatbelts and it was free I seen the receipt and it was over 500 dollars in parts. They took about a month because they had a hard time fixing the passenger. Maybe try another dealer

I keep trying to tell people they're covered. If a dealer turns you down, call Honda customer service. they can start a case for you 800-999-1009.
Edit: after checking majestic honda, I noticed Honda got slick. The motor and rail assembly used to come as 1 unit, now its 2 separate pieces. This is how they get around declining the repair, but if you call customer service and plead your case, they are usually inclined to help.
