Exactly!!! Don't forget to consult your tech manual for proper spacing of the intake and exhaust valves. Follow the procedure exactly. You'd be surprised at the number of people that just" wing it" and end up screwing up big time....

I usually remove the top part of the timing belt cover. On the cam gear, it'll say TOP or UP. When that is lined up with the valve cover bolt down shaft, it's at TDC. Adjust CYL #1 then spin the crank. There's an access hole on the side in the wheel well. Just turn your steering wheel all the way counterclockwise and you can fit a socket and extension in between the wheel and fender well. Turn the crank 1/2 a turn counter clockwise (equivalent to 1/4 turn of the cam gear, just watch the TOP/UP mark on the cam gear) and then adjust CYL #3. Keep doing this until you do all four. Firing order is 1,3,4,2.

I have never done it before. But if you get someone to do it for you all the time, you will never learn. How much would a valve adjustment cost? If its alot, then i will consider doing it myself. A Guage feeler, thats what it is called? If i go to an auto parts store and ask for it, they wont look at me weird?

I think shops charge roughly $60CAD (about $50US?). It's definetly something you can do on your own. I like to do it once a year. Just make sure you follow the proper steps (like firing order and what valves/tappets belong to which cylinder) and you'll be fine. A Haynes manual is somethng good to read over to make sure you get an idea of what to do. Might be a good time to change the valve cover gasket as well.

The feeler gauges are sold at most auto stores. Just make sure you get one that has the proper clearnances you need (I think it was .01 and .007??). Some of them don't go lower than 0.01.
