Exactly!!! Don't forget to consult your tech manual for proper spacing of the intake and exhaust valves. Follow the procedure exactly. You'd be surprised at the number of people that just" wing it" and end up screwing up big time....I pooped a hammer!!!

I have never done it before. But if you get someone to do it for you all the time, you will never learn. How much would a valve adjustment cost? If its alot, then i will consider doing it myself. A Guage feeler, thats what it is called? If i go to an auto parts store and ask for it, they wont look at me weird?

I think shops charge roughly $60CAD (about $50US?). It's definetly something you can do on your own. I like to do it once a year. Just make sure you follow the proper steps (like firing order and what valves/tappets belong to which cylinder) and you'll be fine. A Haynes manual is somethng good to read over to make sure you get an idea of what to do. Might be a good time to change the valve cover gasket as well.
The feeler gauges are sold at most auto stores. Just make sure you get one that has the proper clearnances you need (I think it was .01 and .007??). Some of them don't go lower than 0.01.
