In Ryan’s case it was his O2 sensor. He replaced it and the code went away.
IIRC a code 43 can also be caused by a fuel delivery problem. Like an FPR or Fuel pump. This is if my memory serves me right. I would do a search just to be sure. At the time of this thread I found plenty of info by searching "code 43".

Well!
I was dealing with multiple codes yesterday: 43 & 17
D4 light:14,1,2,7 & 8
I reset my base ignition with in spec, it was idleling 1500 RPM, got town to 700 RPM's, whick is cosider the norm. My timing was dead on, so I then pulled #10 back up radio fuse to clear out the codes. I then went out for a test drive and the check enginge light came back on. Pulled the solo code from the TCU and it pop up as #43, all the other codes, including the D4, cleared out.
If Im lucky, 02 sensor seems an E-Z fix for a #43, if not, Im so bunk, Im dreading and alternative issue here. Im just covering my bassis here. I do the reasearch on other possible leads and post up my finding and resolution.
