Code 43 Problem

I recently replaced my O2 sensor; I was getting intermittent CELs just as you are. Replacing the O2 sensor was the fix.
I'm just grasping at straws here now, but perhaps this will spark ideas with others.
Did you ever mess with the idle air bypass screw on your throttle body? It's possible the idle is just set low somehow, and one of the air valves was somehow compensating for it.
Next, when I unplug my EACV electrical connection, my idle drops as well. Is it possible this is bad? Did you ever try swapping or replacing or cleaning this? I should note that when I unplug this, I immediately get a CEL for it, so I doubt this is your issue unless the motor/valve is somehow seized (causing the ECU to not notice it's bad, but causing the low idle).
The videos are a great help, btw.

Your car is in fuel delivery limp mode because of the code 43. There is a sensor bad somewhere. Unfortunately it is not fun/easy to decipher what sensor.
Did you mess the the FPR? If you removed it did you re-prime it correctly?
When was the last time the timing belt was serviced?
Hod did you reset the ECU? Has the ECU ever been wet?Last edited by wildBill83; 11-14-2012, 10:11 AM.1993 SE Coupe MRT - 1992 LX Sedan MRT

i think the fpr is bad. the mechanic i took it to to get it pressure tested said it was putting out 70 pounds versus the spec 40
T belt as about 80k left on it.

Can you do a test for me?
Use the fuel rail test port and bleed the pressure from the fuel rail. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the FPR. Place pressure gauge on fuel rail test port and turn the key to II position a few times to reprime the FPR to the correct pressure. Reattach vacuum hose to FPR. Reset ECU and then see if it does it still.1993 SE Coupe MRT - 1992 LX Sedan MRT

There are a few things wrong, O2 sensor may be one of them. Can you rent a pressure gauge or have a buddy at an auto store hook one up temporarily? Generally the engine will run like that when the CYP sensor is bad, but you're not throwing that code.1993 SE Coupe MRT - 1992 LX Sedan MRT

I just got back from the honda specialist and they looked the car over and listened to my problems, pulled the codes and said it was the o2 that is causing all the problems. my order from rockauto shipped out today so its shitty gas mileage until it gets here. the car has stopped bogging because according to the mechanic the computer knows what is going on and it put a stop to it or something like that. also the fpr is normal. it is supposed to be 40 at idle and 70 at something else.
I would like to thank you all for helping me out in this massive thread and i hope someone will take heed all the stuff discussed here. If the o2 sensor does not fix the problem i will post back. Good Day

The good OEM FPR I sent you came off my 93LX when I did the H23IM swap. Jewelproject sold me the IM setup with the FPR thats on my car already on it. So thats my old one off my A1. I didnt have any problems using it so it should be good. It has the rubber O ring still in it. You might get a little new motor oil on your fingers and work it into the O ring with it out of the FPR. That should put a little life back in it.
Also that new fuel filter I sent you isnt the best. Its not super cheap buts its not a Wix or OEM either.
With the FPR, Fuel Filter & O2 sensor you should have the problem narrowed down pretty good but Im thinking the O2 sensor is the main problem.
Also make sure and send me some pics (or post some) with the clear bumper lights and new corner lights once you get them and get them in. It will be nice to see them put to good use!
