    Code 43 Problem

I have a what i think is a code 43. Its my first time doing CEL

My Problem is: I was crusing on the freeway at 70 when the cel came on. when i got off i noticed the car would idle lower than normal. When i got home i was about to jump the connector when i heard a hissing. i popped the hood and steam rolled out. I had a hole in the coolant hose that runs to the cold idle thing that makes the idle go up and down when cold. I guess my question is: is the code 43 which is fuel, related to the coolant hose? or is it just a coincidence?

if not what is the possible problem for code 43?

    Coincidence.

    Code 43 is Oxy Sensor.

Car Safety / General Servicing Checks --------Basic suspension checks

    My 5.7 LS1 Holden Ute

A "Finished" project car is never finished until its been sold.

If at first you don't succeed, Try again. Don't give up too easily, persistance pays off in the end.

so does that also explain the low idle?

It can, my CEL causes a high idle. Fix the CEL first, then worry about the low idle.

There's only one o2. The A1 has an "upstream", in the header, the A4/6 has a "downstream", in the down pipe. Order it using the appropriate trim of your accord. Yes, you CAN wait, but it's gonna effect your mpg...

You can generally keep the code from getting thrown by not getting on the gas hard or taking it into higher rpms. But the longer it goes, the easier it it to throw the code, until it finally stays on. Rockauto has pretty fast shipping, just an fyi.

Don't forget to use the 5% discount code, it's in the sticky section of beginners off topic.
