How to fix broken cig lighter

It was just a fuse that blew out. Thank God it was so simple.

I found the solution! After I re-welded the connection it blew a fuse and when I replaced it, wala, both the interior lights and the cig lighter worked!

Very first post says "no fuse are blown".
Then a fuse was blown after you "re-welded" a connection.
You replaced that fuse and it is working, now.

To me, you haven't found a source of short that caused the fuse to blow at that time.
So, it is likely to blow again once that place caused short makes contact with ground.

But, who knows, it maybe good for a long while.
