My F22A6 Died at 264,xxx, but still runs! See inside for details...

This all originally started in this thread:
    http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=19383

I got the bolt out finally.....but the other 1.5" of it is still in the f'ing crank, I think you can guess what happened (snap!)
I ended up not using the impact, but a 2 foot breaker bar and a prybar in the ring gear teeth.
    But wait there's more!!!

I got the pulley off and it wasn't the rubber gone bad, but the splines were, allowing it to flop around on the crank snout, and the pulley is REAL ate up, no more splines, rounded out to the TOP OF THE KEYWAY! Not only that, but the crank snout is missing a nice size chunk of material.

The engine was running fine, but now I can't replace the crank pulley.....
I'm still unsure as to whether I'm gonna do a rebuild with a new crank or just get a used motor seeing as how i'm kinda broke right now....

Although this will give a good excuse to start my "project"
The only thing is I'll be driving a land yacht Lincoln Town Car till then.

I will post pics later this afternoon

so the only thing that is wrong is that the other half of the bolt is still inside the engine??

The bolt is broken off in the crank, but when the damper key broke, it took a piece of the crank snout with it. You can't really see it in the picture because it's so dark, but it's something like this:

I'll try to get some better pictures of the engine damage soon.

dont feel bad bro, my f22a1 died at 264,xxx miles because my harmonic balancer wobbled on my crankshaft. finally one day, the splines worn all the way down and boom....there goes the f22a1. your car looks like a perfect candidate for an f22b dohc or f20a dohc. keep your head up homie!
