    broken fuel line

Broke in this same spot from a pic from the net while removing the tank.

I managed to change out my brake line damage but ended up busting this. What's the best way to fix it. Can I just take appropriate size fuel hose and clamp it in and remove the rusted fitting altogether?

On another note I pulled off the brake line pro style first double flare attempt so I feel pretty good about my work today despite this setback.

Yep, that's a tough spot. You could cut before the bolt and use a rubber hose clamped at both ends. Obviously the right way is to buy a whole new part as its all looking pretty bad in there, but assuming u know that. Good luck.

Actually it's a pic from the net cause my bro has my digital camera right now but it's pretty similar. Only difference is my pipe before the break itself is in much better looking shape not as corroded.

Cool. Best if you can go with all new parts. Best of luck!

I ran into the same issue with my fuel line. Mine is exactly like the one in the picture. So far my only solution was to have a custom fuel line made with an AN fitting on the other end. Im going to flare the fuel line where there's no corrosion and just hook up my fuel line that way.

Your fix is definitely the way to do it but I gotta get this thing back on the road for Monday so I'm going to ghetto patch it with fuel line hose. The part that broke before the connector appears 7/16 with the rubber outer-sleeve. So I'm hoping I can get that size fuel line slip over that end...double clamp it, and slip it under the rubber fuel line (appears 1/2 inch by my measurement) that goes up to the tank (double clamp that too) thereby eliminating the rusted mangled piece altogether.

I will let you guys know how it goes tomorrow.
