A/c - heat switch? help?

hey everyone,
When i turn the knob on my dashboard to change the heat to a/c it still stays hot. I went under the dashboard and pulled the little lever to switch it to a/c and it worked. this is obviously broken. How do i fix this problem so whenever i change the heat to a/c or a/c to heat i wouldnt have to go under the dashboard to pull a lever? I want to be able to change the heat to a/c or a/c to heat with the knob like normal cars

Simple, go to a JY and get a new knob. Make sure it is not cracked or broken...

so its just the knob thats broken? not anything under the dash?..

Pull it out and look, but yeah, if the blend door moves then it is most likely the knob only.

how do i remove it? im bad with interior lol.

grab n pull, it will come out, be sure and remove the metal clip that will stick on the shaft also.

yeah just pull it and make sure to put it on the right spot when you install the new one

If you can use a small screwdriver to pry behind it, it should just pop right off.
Flathead lol not phillips.
I have taken many off at the junk yards as spares and/or for fellow friends/members.

or the cable broke, or it just slipped out of the holder. mine is like that.
