Adding wires to the fuse box

Did some searching but nothing popped out. As the title reads, how hard is it to add to the fuse box? Are there any spare spots?

I looked at a 95 accord one I have lying around and they don't seem too easy to come apart. I could see how people would use a blank spot and run the wire in one side of the fuse and another wire out the other side, but that just doesn't seem right. If I can't have this done then I'll just use a in-line fuse. If there's a DIY I missed, please post up the link.

Has anyone ever done this, and do you have any pictures ?

Arnen't the fuses for heated seats under the bonnet?

And No the above picture is the wrong way to do it.


Take the back cover off the fuse box, then put in the correct size spade terminals in the location you want to use.
Fit the fuse, run the wiring and done.

Have you ever separated the fuse box? Does is come apart easy?

Under bonet one I have, comes apart easily.
Under dash one I havn't, though I'm sure its not that difficult.

So I should add to the under bonet one and make life a lot easier. Thanks for the help !

I would put the fuse/relay in the OEM location, it will make your life easier to use OEM parts in OEM spots... Just my 2 cents.

Look in your owners manual for the location and get a service manual with the wiring diagram for it and follow it to the T.

Thanks, I have these already after doing some good ole research I just need to buy or find a OEM relay for the seats!

Not sure about canada but US cars have 3 empty fuse spots under the hood. Just get connecter from the junkyard and swap the terminals to the connector on the bottom of the fuse box. Then put a fuse in.
