i wanted to know if the fan is supposed to come on when the thermostat opens? mine won't come on, but when i cut on the air condition both of the fans come on.

the fan comes on when the engine is at operating temp, well higher than normal. its not when the thermostat opens cause thats about like 174 degrees...i think it turns on at like around 220 or so.
let your car sit for 20 minutes, it should turn on....
both should turn on with the ac as well.What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.
You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

If that's true that they are supposed to come on at half way temp, then I think I have a problem.. I dont think i've ever heard my fans come on, and my heat gauge always reads at about the mid point.. I've also never had it go higher than than, do I still have a problem? My a/c hasnt been workin for a while, so that doesnt really matter..Comment

my normal op temp, when fans come on, is a TAD before mid point. Just a hair...2DAO (2 Door Accord Owner)
