    Help with the motor mounts

I was just wondering how difficult it is to replace the mounts. What kind of knowledge and tools would you need. Or is it just better to get it done by a mechanic.

the side 2 and the front is pretty easy, the one near the tranny is a little harder...though u really should have power tools for this....and a nice jack....

the side, u just jack the car up on the oil pan a little to take the tension off and then unbolt and replace.

    same as the front...

the side there is more stuff to remove, but the rear, gOSH thats soo hard...

yet if u dont have power tools get it done by a person who knows how...i got all my mounts replaced for 200 bucks...
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

yeah i know a guy at a shop who can get me the mounts for under $50 a peice but he doesnt install them. I just would rather do it myself, its cheaper and more rewarding, then pay someone for labor time.

If you have power tools, its really simple, just do one at a time! and take your time...i just filled my front and back one with urethane and called it good....

          50 bucks per mount......

I can get you the side two mounts for 25 each, and the front is prob. like 35 bucks.

Can anyone really elaborate on how to remove/reinstall the rear mount???

          Thanks..

ALSO- what can i fill my mounts with? Some people say window caulk.... But what kind? Where can i get it? thanks!

rear mount is hard...u have to have a lift to make it easier, u cant get it from up top either...only from the bottom...id feel around to see if it is ok or not

i got some used side motor mounts that ill sell for cheap...both sides, still good....
