Aluminum Compressor Bracket for Denso Compressors

I recently bought an F23A1 to use the rotating assembly in an F20B rebuild that I wanted to do just for the fun of it. I don't actually plan on putting it in my car, but the stress relief is nice.

Anyway, the F23A1 came with everything still attached to it. Something I found interesting was the AC compressor bracket. All CB7s that have ABS came with Hadsys compressors for some reason. We know that the line routing is different to clear the ABS components on the firewall but for some reason all of these changes necessitated the larger volume Hadsys compressor as well. In '96 (not positive, but I think this is true) Honda went back to using solely Denso compressors. The bracket that came off of the F23A1 is an aluminum bracket for a Denso compressor.

The Integra Type Rs in Japan used an aluminum version of the bracket versus the cast iron version found on all other JDM Integras and all Integras stateside including the Type R. Should anyone want to give this a shot this could be a similar modification. I have a Hadsys, so I cannot use this one. If anyone wants to use mine on their Denso, pm me. This would be cool to see. I realize the gains are not enormous but this thing weighs only 1.07 lbs. That's pretty significant relative to what the OEM Denso bracket weighs. Would anyone care to weigh theirs?

Here are pictures for comparison. The iron bracket pictures are from HondaFan81's for sale thread. The other one is mine.

That's actually really cool. The weight savings, while not enormous, is still weight savings and whether you look at the gas mileage factor or the performance factor, it might just be the final piece to the puzzle for some folks.

Definitely interested to see if it would work for the Hadsys compressors. I'm not really in the "pioneering" mood.

I always ditch the a/c system but that is a very nice find I will also add that my 91 SE had a denso compressor + abs, may have to do w/ that fact it was built in japan? My old 1HG 93 EX had a hadsys.

It won't fit a Hadsys. The Hadsys is much larger than the Denso.

          Thanks, Bill.

Nice, I don't believe in removing A/C systems on street driven cars, I like to speed in comfort. If I come across one of these I'll have to snag it.

It is something I'm looking for when I put the H22 in, I already have a denso (from when I tried to swap my Hadsys), just need to get the high and low side lines from a denso equiped accord with ABS routing.
