    Oil Pump Good or Bad

Ok so I've been fighting with lowish oil pressure for sometime. I've been running 10w40 thorugh the summer and my pressure is fine, a little on the low end at idle but acceptable. But today while driving down the road at 2500 rpms the oil pressure was just a hair below 50psi. Then when I got on it up to 3000 rpms the oil pressure bareley made it over 50psi, but after holding steady at 3000rpms it started to rise. could this be a sign of the pump starting to fail? I tried the same thing at 2500 rpms and it acted the same, it slowly rose to just above 50psi, that was at 2500rpms, it never does that. I never had this happen before.

What could it be. Oil is making it to the valve train, when I remove the oil filler cap after I shut the car off it si spattered with oil.

Honestly I wouldnt worry about it until your motor oil starves out and youll know that your rod bearings will be the first to let you know. Make sure the oil is at level. If you see the oil light coming on or your oil pressure switch can trigger the oil light you wont have to worry about it.
