Cruise control on Auto to 5spd

I tried wiring it up like they said in the DIY for the Auto to 5spd, Black to Black & Green/White and Pink to Pink and nothing.

I even tried swapping clutch switches with some spares I had and nothing.

I also had an Auto cruise computer and a Manual cruise computer, neither one worked.

I noticed I am missing the neutral safety switch (switch right above the clutch pedal switch) would that have anything to do with this working properly?

I also doubt its a vacuum issue. I pulled the vacuum line from the cruise actuator right where it connects at the T fitting and I heard a bunch of air get released, so I know that part works right.

made sure my cruise cable was not kinked and it is connected to the pedal and moves the throttle body when I pull on it.

    What else could it be?

You didn't wire in a NSS either? I'm thinking that's what it is.

That's the upper switch right? No, I didn't wire that in, its missing a connector, So I'll have to go back to the JY again for one if that's the case. Is there a DIY on how to wire that in?

I just hardwired the Pink and Black wires that I extended from the switch to the grey plug instead of butt connecting them to try and get a better connection and still nothing. Wasted an hour doing that. Ugh.

Couldn't really tell you either because that's what i did too when i converted. I figured, i'd be the only driver and i always use the parking brake so i didn't bother wiring that. Also i never found a 30amp relay like in that thread of mine from way back in the day.

Now I'm not sure which one I'm supposed to wire those Pink and Black wires to.

I connected them to the switch that sits at an angle, as opposed to mounting horizontal. Would that be the correct one?

Is it 19 or 20 in the diagram? I think the one I wired it to was #20

You didn't mention the grey wire. There are two brake inputs, one normally closed that opens when you press the brake(grey), and one that is normally open and closes when you press on the brake(grn/wht).

              Just reread your original post.

The only difference between manual and auto cruise system is clutch switch vs a shift position switch.

The pink wire is a grounded input that is closed to ground with the clutch pedal released. When the clutch pedal is pressed, it breaks connection to ground. This is opposite of the interlock switch for starting.

You mentioned connecting the brake grn/wht to the pink which would let pink wire see a ground through the brake bulbs. When the brake is pressed and 12v is applied, ground is lost. No need for a clutch switch. While This should work, it is pointless. You already have a brake safety so you might as well just ground the pink wire.

To connect the clutch switch is just ground on one wire and the pink from cruise unit to the other. Or if you do not care about a clutch safety switch, just ground the pink wire at cruise unit.

Yeah I figured out that using the Green/white wire was pointless since I have nothing that's Auto anymore. So I just ran Black and Pink wires directly to the Black and pink wires on the switch.

But what's this about a grey wire? where is that wire?

What does this mean exactly? "To connect the clutch switch is just ground on one wire and the pink from cruise unit to the other"
