cluncking sound from front pax side

My rotors have been warped for about 3 years and since i have gotton the upper ball joint replaced on the front pax side there is a clunking noise when ever i step lightly on the brakes. it gets louder when i do it at 70+ miles per hour and goes away when i step harder. It does it at random times when driving around town when i go over bumps and i cannot reproduce it. I jacked the car up and shook the weehl from the 10 and 6 position and there is a mm of play. i shook the wheel from the 3 and 6 and there is also a mm of play. any idea what id going on?

Check your tie rod connections and make sure they are tight. I have the same prob turned out the nut on the tie rod had backed off

You shouldnt have any play at all. If you see anything wiggling, you need to find out where the play is at and get it fixed.
