High CO means too much fuel in the mixture. Try replacing the O2 sensor. If your check engine light is on, you might a have a bad MAP sensor on the intake manifold (have to pull the code to make sure). Replace the air filter too. Also good idea to replace spark plugs (and/or PROPERLY GAP THEM) and change the oil.

are you getting a cel light ? look at your ecu if you have lights on it that are for flashing trouble codes .what code are you getting?are your plugs gaped right ? do have all of the vacuum lines on the intake in the right spot ? are any of or cracked ? re placing the oil presure switch could have got a bad one . clean egr system check your timeing . is your idle to low ?

when car was etested they made sure the timing was right cleaned egr valve and did poked out something with like a wire or something i forget what they said exactly, i just put brand new ngk plugs in it and it still did it, and how exactly do i check for a code?

Like i said to begin with invest in a oil pressure gauge. The cars should have came with an oil gauge anyway, it shouldn't cost you more than $40 for a decent setup. Could be a bad sending unit or loose connection, weak oil pump, or bad bearing clearances on the bottom end aka worn out.

To check for cel's the service connector is on the passenger side kick panel right aboth where the ecu sit's and to the right abit. Here you go......

just got it back from the shop and there 100% it has something to do with the ignition, they ran the car with the o2 sensor unplugged and without the egr at all and no diffrence. What should i get now cap and rotor and see where it goes from there? im also gonna get another oil pressure sensor to see if thats my problem

also a new icm and coil would be good and are cheap . and unplugeing the egr wont tell them any thing about the egr from what i know . here is a video that wed3k made .

and like SOHC-FTW said get a oil gauge it will be your best friend with oil presure .

i dont have the sheet right now, and i put a used map sensor on and honestly after i got it back from etest drove it for a couple hours and it was running really good, well expect the oil light of course but it only started to misfire when i tried taking off from a stop sign and its been doing it ever since.

it might be the map sensor . why did you change them ?

by the way, have you checked your local emissions laws.

here in NY all cars 20 model years or older are tailpipe test exempt, just visual check and a safety check

okay guys so what i did today so far, had a stare dizzy i put it on new cap rotor and spark plugs, and same misfiring. right now im cleaning out my egr ports(pulling the plugs) and theyll be back in tonight ill let you guys know how it goes. thanks for all the help so far
