    Delta 272 Cam

    So after some searching I found that the Delta cams are generic regrinds and with a 272 it would nice to get a tune.

    My question is are the grinds generic in the form that I can buy someone else's 272 cam and just put it in my car ? Or are try mainly generic but made for specific applications?

    Any help is appreciated

    Yes. Generic as you can buy anyone else's regrind. Just get it tuned after you install it.

        No. The do make 272 regrinds for the car but the stock profile is more around 250 I believe.

          Just to clarify;

          The "272" in the description is relevant to the lift and duration profile, its not a model number.

          For example, I run a 280 cam on the exhaust side and a 272 on the intake side on one of my dsm's.

          Dsm cams do not fit in f22 engines(to my knowledge)

          For an f22 motor, you need an f22 cam.

            I think (or at least HOPE) that the OP gets that... why the 4g63 even came into this conversation, I don't know!

            But yes, all Delta 272 regrinds are the same. They are not "custom for your application". However, if you know what specific lift, duration, and lobe separation angle you want, I'm sure they could grind one to your specs. It just won't be as cheap as their generic grinds.
            Another company that does such regrinds is Web... and Web does Bisimoto's regrinds, I believe.

              Sorry I wasn't more clear. I thought most people would know this.
