Hey so I have switched my auto tranny"s from
A dx (sports mode) to a lx with out sports mode
The reason being cause the dx tranny was slipping and had hard shifts
With the lx swap it was doing fine with my flex plate broke and I had to replace it which I thought it was timing belt. After I fixed that I had a TCU code of 5 flashes which was the (Shift lever position switch lever open or shorten) then I did some research and I seen there was a green clip for sports mode. So I asked this local guy at the parts store cause he owned his lx accord 1992 as his first car I asked him has he ever had this problem he said that I should only have to change My tcu for a lx and I should be on my way everything should be fine .
So what have I done
I changed the TCU for a lx coupe (even tho I got a 4 door dx) idk if that matters
I also dis- connected the [S] light cable off the shifter
The reason is I would think the computer wouldn't read it cause it wasn't connected so it would be fixed :/
After doing this my solution
I did this now I have a TCU code of 9 flashes which is ( counter shaft or transmission speed pulse genanotor ) now idk if I should change the shifter or what else I can't find any solutions to the problem. Thank you
