ok ive searched and havent found a direct answer... when relocating the fusebox... do you have to remove the dash.. i know the evaporator and blower motor need to come out... which must be why the dash needs to come out.. so again. do i have to pull the dash out?

Technically you can do quite a bit by just removing the glove box but it makes things 1000 times easier to do behind the dash with it all the way out. It's really not that difficult to remove. Between doing my own a few times and removing them in the junkyards before I figured out it was unnecessary when trying to get to foglight harnesses I've gotten to where I can remove a dashboard in about 20 minutes without rushing.My Members' Ride Thread - It's a marathon build, not a sprint. hmm good to know.. cause i really dont wanna remove it but i might.. so are you saying it is possible to pull the wiring through and mount it.. with out removing the dash??Comment

I'm not saying that I've personally done it because I haven't. I've just removed a dashboard quite a few times in a CB and I also know what parts can be removed with the dash in place. Now, how much room there is for mounting something like that and where you'd bolt it down is all second hand information from others on the site who have done it. ok ill take your advice and ill remove the dash. then i can see all i have to mess with.. im prolly gonna mount the fuse box right behind the glove box.. cut a whole out of the glove box to make room.... Thank you for your helpComment

You have to remove it. You dont have to remove the evaporator but you do have to take out the blower motor assembly to get to all the wires.Comment

lol ok so i have to dash un bolted . but how the hell do you get it out its getting stuck.. is there a trick to getting it all the way out???Comment

If youre only moving it inside you most likely dont need to cut any depending on where you put it. Only cut wires if you need to make them longer.Comment

If you're doing a wire-tuck already then most, if not all of it will be custom and no two people will do it the same. It's going to be a lot of trial and error. well im only asking because some of the wires r so tangled and crossing through other harness...and im sure i am in over my head.. thats why im asking you guys for advice.......... i have a soder gun and shrink wrap.... now ive run into a new question.. the starter and ALT wire.. my guess is they will have to be extended rightComment

Most people that do wire tucks relocate the battery to the rear of the car. In that case you can't avoid having to extend the power wires. Doing it a little bit for the fuse box relocation won't be a big deal.
