Fog Light Wires

i found a fog light switch from another cb7 at the jy. but the car didnt have fogs lights? not even a cut-out. the switch was connected to factory wires but i didnt see any wires under the hood. WTF?
when i do get some foggies for my 90ex, will i have to re-wire my own wires to the switch or is the connector in the dash somewhere?

Since you worded your question with the grace of a pig drowning, I'll help you out. There are 3 sections to the factory fog light harness. Sections A/B/C. If you don't have all three of those then you don't have a complete harness. You'll need the attached relays as well.

To add to that

The harness is stand alone, not integrated with stock wiring. You can remove the foglight wiring harness easily

it goes from the interior fuse box, up to the switch and exits the car above the ECU. From there it goes to the underhood fuse box and then runs down the left side of the engine bay to the foglights behind the front bumper. You will find the a / b / c stickers on each part if you look for them most likely.

there were no signs of a wire harness for fogs under the hood. i followed the wires from the switch to the fuse box, but the wires were wrapped with other wires. it wasnt just a separate wire harness. it didnt look like someone self wired it. it all looked factory. are the wires in the dash one of the 3 a b c wire harness i need to hook up fog lights?

You just don't know what you're looking for. We can't make these explanations any easier. You just get all the components of the foglight wiring. You'll have to remove the bumper to see if the B portion is there.

Slim, you're certain there werent evenaftermarket fogs on it?

Because if there were no fogs at all, OEM or aftermarket, then perhaps they had that switchwired to something else. Could've been anything.

I'd still snag the switch and any wiring. That way, if you do come across OEM fogs for your car, you'll have that much.

Since u have the switch already just get a aftermarket harness and use the oem switch and add it in place of the existing switch. Don't slave yourself over a harness that may not even be intact. Save yourself the time.

OEM switch wiring help

This cleared it up. The wire harness i was looking at inside the car was "A".
I guess ill go back for it.
