H23 ecu ran my car like feces

so I tried out a p14 in my car and it ran like shit, It was sputtering and idling at 200rpm and it had less power. Was it a bad ecu or did it have to learn my car or what because I would have thought it would have added power.

On your F? The P14 is tuned for a higher compression and higher revving car, doesn't surprise me it ran it like shit.

You put an ECU designed for different CC engine, different compression, different intake and exhaust, different fuel and timing maps . . .

And your surprised it ran bad?

I have a h23 intake lol. I would think it would run a little rich but add power because its more of a agressive tune.

Wouldn't that same logic make more sense by using a B18C ECU?

Use the ecu your engine is designed for, or get one chipped and tuned

The P12 would have been a good candidate for a drop-in replacement were it not for the H23A manifold with IABs that you have.

How are your IABs hooked up currently?

And your logic is very flawed on the ECU. Paula Dean in a leotard won't make her skinny. If you play around with things like that you're eventually going to kill an engine.

To utilize the IAB function of the h23 intake manifold (assuming thats what you mean by intake, and not just the pipe) you will need a pt6 ecu and wire the black box to the correct pinout

I bet the F22A and H23A have different size injectors. That alone would make the P14 useless.

Then use the pt3 or p12 or pt6. Don't use a ecu for a different engine!

How much are you willing to wager on that? I'll put down $100 says F22A1 and H23A1 injectors are the same size.

I still wouldn't use an H23 ECU on an F22 though.......

h23 and f22 injectors are the same but the fuel curves are very different. I don't have my laptop on me but I'd guess as much as a 20-30% difference just at idle. Please don't use a h23 ecu on a stock f22 OP. That was saddening to even read.
