kncocking noise...i know, i know, cv joints.

when i turn, i get a knocking noise, at first, we thought the blown shocks making something hit the bearing plates....so i replaced the shocks, which needed it anyway, and the bearing plates. 480 later, still got the knocking. i didn't think it was cv joint because i replaced the right side already, but now, it's knocking when i turn either direction, usually when it's cold, but now it's becoming regular.

how do i know if its the cv joint, boot, or the whole cv axle needs replacing?

idk but i'm taking a guess mayb a balljoint gone bad cuz i just replaced mine and i heard my noise go away idk if that is ur problem but it was mine. and now my ride is alot smoother.

anyone else know anything about this balljoint issue and if it could cause a knocking when turning? also, someone suggested possibly a half shaft, but that didn't really make sense to me. any ideas?

it can, but 8 out of 10 times it is your axles. you probably bought a lifetime warranty aftermarket axle huh? if you have a clicking noise, pinpoint where the noi is coming from and replace that side. you only have to replace a cv boot if your boot is torn open and your axle isnt making any noises. if why replace your jointd if your axle is bad? if you have money to spend, then buy a honda outer cv joint. if not buy an aftermarket.good luck. want more info let me know.
