After Tube Seal Repair Car Not Starting Right

I replaced my tube seals and valve cover seals. After everything was reassembled (according to the video in the diy) I went to start and it makes a clicking/choking sort of noise and doesn't start right or not at all sometimes. Doing a valve adjustment now, but it should've started fine without it. Any help?

did you by any chance take it out of timing while doing this? it could have jumped timing without you knowing.

Agreed. Either the ignition timing or the physical timing is off. Redo the timing.

Don't know. How would I know if I did and how would I go about fixing it?

Two of the valve springs keep getting stuck down and wont come back up until he (the guy I have working on my car) gives them a tap on the top. Why would this be?

Wrecked valve guides? Improperly installed valve stem seals? Horribly crusted valve stems. Could be a TON of things. You might have to pull the head to find out, might be able to find out with a leak down test too.
