    Installing headers

So Im currently installing headers but having fitment issues, is it suppose to give me a hard time to install? Or should it be plug and play style?

That depends on what the actual issue is.
    A set of V8 headers won't fit your F22.

    What is the problem?

Seems as if it's an inch or 2 too short and the down pipe is really close to the engine

So, Did you buy the correct header for your engine?
And do you have a stock exhaust?

That sounds about right for an ebay header. Most times you will need to ether extend or shorten the OEM exhaust to fit one of them. Heck, even Bisi's custom made headers aren't made to fit the OEM exhaust and the too require modifications.

Yes that's exactly what's happening, the stock exhaust won't reach the downpipe it's like I need a type of spacer in between or something

I found our old ebay header fit fine but wouldnt bolt to the block bracket underneath. Once i took it to the shop and had my exhaust guy help me push it up far enough with a transjack, the bracket then ripped out of the cheap stainless steel. So i went back to a A4 manifold, which to me is built like a header if not better than a ebay anyways. If it doesnt fit perfect dont force it, cheaps welds hold like cheap welds.

Honestly i cant tell a difference in the ebay knock off and the a4 oem one, the oem one is alot quieter since it doesnt let all the valve chatter noise escape through the metal runners....

slip the rest of your exhaust off and bolt it to the downpipe/header and then put it back on... works waaaaaaay better

So I put the headers in but the down pipe was just a hassle and didn't wanna work right so I ended up putting the stock downpipe although now it sits lower then it's suppose to but besides that, can keeping the stock downpipe cause problems? Besides being able to scrape it lol

if its a a6/a4 lower down pipe and the flanges line up I dont see where it would hurt, I thought about this too when i found the A4 manifold. Was gonna keep the knockoff top end on the oem bottom peice but didnt wanna reuse the gasket since the o2 comes after the downpipe section. For what its worth, the flange on the ebay header i have fits the oem flange perfect. To be honest I assumed the ebay knock off was probally modeled after the oem A4 manifold since they are very similar in design

Apparently you didn't catch evil_demon_01's dig at you in the first reply. You do not have multiple headers.
