    Slick 50

Is slick 50 just like a 50 weight motor oil like stp?

Im using 5w30 with stp, what grade is it really. 10w40? Because I only get about 7-9 psi at hot idle.

Slick 50 a waste of money.

5w30 is 5w30. No smoke and mirrors here.
    wat?

Buy good oil and don't use additives. If you think your car needs a certain weight oil, buy that weight oil.

Modern quality oils are good stuff. No need to mess around with other crap.

with the stp what do I have for a weight. Is it still 5w30. Because before I used the stp I had 3-4 psi at idle.

That's only a bandaid. Fix you oil pump or get a new engine.
          wat?

I know its just a bandaid, but what viscosity am I using, with the stp and 5w30

i just did some googling around... one person said they asked a STP person the same question but with 4 quarts of oil and the answer that person got was 5w30 with stp = 15-50 since its such a polymer thickener.

Again, don't use it just get different oil next time.

Does a better brand oil keep viscosity longer with heat? Im using parts plus 5w30 from school and it has good viscosity even at operating temp at warm idle right off it has 25 psi and up, but after running a little while longer it drops down to less then 10 psi. Could it just be the cheap oil?

im not an expert oil person but in oil you're looking for polymers to resist shearing and the ability to suspend contaminants (i think I'm wording that correctly).

the shearing will mean that oil can be used longer without losing viscosity.

i don't know about the pressure dropping. if it was below 5 i might be worried but it seems that somewhere around 10 is ok. your engine has wear on it and tolerances have opened up a little and oil pressure is going to drop.

Why do you keep making new threads that all relate to the same thing?
