    LX Automatic Shifting Question

Okay, guys. I have a question concerning my automatic tranny and the way it shifts. As I'm driving along around 55 or 60 mph, my car seems like it's not in final drive. But, I can slightly press on the accelerator, and then it drops from around 3 grand to around 27 or 28 hundred rpms, then the car seems like it's in final drive. If I press the accelerator down to much, then as it should, the car hits passing gear. But under normal driving, the car will hit around 3 grand untill I slightly press down on the accelerator, then it drops to around 27 or 28 hundred rpms. As soon as I let up off the accelerator slightly, it's back up to 3 grand.
Any clue as to whats happening here? Is this normal, or do I have tranny trouble?

personally, i think that is normal. you probably got tons of mileage on that tranny and that trans have probably never been serviced before huh??

hmm strange but some people say our trannies are 4 speed overdrive.. does that mean we have an extra gear that we can barely touch or does it mean the 4th gear is the overdrive?

seems like a small overdrive gear would give u that type of "issue"

did you ever think that maybe this is a normal symptom? obviously that if others have a similar issue, maybe its normal? thats just my opinion
