    trunk won't stay up

ok so once i bought my cb7 the truck of the car is very heavy and it doesnt stay up unless you put a pice of wood is holding it up. also the lever that opens the trunk that is in the front of the car next to the gas door open doesnt work. i think theres a spring or somthing missing that holds up the trunk lid open. does anyone know whats wrong with it heres a pic of it.

Well your hinges are White and your Trunk is Black so are they the original ones that came with the car? do you have a After market spoiler that is heaver?
For the Cable thing you should check your trunk latch if its sill hooked to it

Check to make sure your trunk springs are still there. Those are the only things that'd hold your trunk up. If your trunk isn't staying up, they're either missing or they're weak.

Judging by your 4 speakers in the rear deck, I'd say whoever did that took the springs out since the springs would have been in the way.

Form over function on that setup.

the reason why the trunk is black is because i just did a trunk swap

Not with factory springs or a setup similar to the one the factory employed. It seems the original owner (and possibly you also) valued a certain amount of noise over a functional trunk lid.
