    Brake problems

    OK,

I have nissin calipers .. they suck.

My brake pedal after i changed out rotors and pads would act like a bad master cylinder... it would stop, but would sink to the floor. I can also not lock up the wheels as I could before.

I replace master cylinder, bleed brakes until fluid started to become clear... they feel the same. While the car is off, it will build up pressure, and the booster passes the test that the Haynes goes through. Any ideas?

It was fine before the pads and rotors, done them before... everythings tight and whatnot. I also have rotor over hub, so rotors were easy as pie.

There are NO leaks... fluid is staying the same, and there is no fluid appearing anywhere.

Any ideas? My lights to flash real quick when I push the brake pedal.. which i never noticed before.

    guess nobody cares... :-P

I am guessing that it is the calipers. The car was sitting for 2-3 years b4 I got it done, and the pads were worn pretty much all the way down. So im guessing that they got frozen or whatever and dont want to work all the way when there are pads w/nice meat on them.

Anyone have prelude SI caliper brakets

Well, i need new calipers.. thats all that i can think of. Unless theres something else up.. Cuz when I press the brake pedal, rpms go down, and power flickers. Then rpms go up when i release the pedal.

But, I would rather spend money on lude calipers than stupid stock calipers. But I need the brackets for the lude ones for them to work.

Anyone know if akebono and nissin calipers have the same bracket?

you have to bleed the brake system properly. i think its right rear then left front, then right front, then left rear. do this first before you buy new calipers. did you know that nissin makes brake pads for AEM???? i think they do. you might want to go buy an 8,10mm flarenut wrench. you might need it.. hope i helped..??
The beginning of a new era............................

i think the vtec lude calipers were only made by nissin...do you have the bigger rotor upgrade or stock size? btw, when i bought my lude calipers from the auto parts store they came with the brackets...try doing that. buying re-furbished calipers and returning the old ones as cores...they didnt care when i returned my painted accord calipers when i bought the lude

Its bled fine, used tubing so i could see if there were any bubbles. I also did it until brake fluid started to come out clean on each wheel.

I have stock sized rotors.. I've had that setup for a year or two now, so its not related to that.

Imma call the autozone, and see if they come w/brackets.. cuz i have an old set of accord ones that can go in as a core
