    boosting a high milage motor

So I want to build a motor for boost.
But I was thinking it would be nice to turbo my car for now then swap in another built motor when I feel like it.
My car has a very well maintained f22 with 277k.
Will 5 psi be bad? I want to take this motor over 300k with out blowing it up. I wont be punching it everywhere.
To run 5 psi Will I need to upgrade my fuelpump?
Whats up with the "oil/water cooled" turbos?
will I have to upgrade my map sensor to a 3 or 4 bar one and when do you have to?

i honestly wouldn't even bother with 5 psi especially if youre going to risk blowing it up.

All I am looking to push this motor to is like 200hp-210hp at the crank and with everything else I have I think 5 psi would do it.

why don't you just run 14psi, achieve your goal and then just take the turbo off?

8psi would probably be too much for your motor to take.how is your compression on the motor?

                like 180 on every cyl.

wed3k why would I build a kit to take it off. I want to run like 15-20psi when I have a built motor but not on this one.

Just spray it with a 55 (should be decent and last for a bit).Build a bottom end on the side and piece together a turbo kit while you're at it.

Or leave it be and build an engine for later.

i told you befor and ill tell you again..boosted at any psi,it could last a day or forever.with high milage like that its hit or miss.you could get the kit and make your tune appointment and blow up right there or even on the way to them.take it from someone who got the short end of the stick.

                        my new turbo build

If you plan to build the car why wouldn't you just spend the $80 and put a walbro pump in?.? Then you won't have to think or worry about it.

You only need a new map if you run over the psi it reads, around 10 psi? I don't know I have a 4 bar.

10 psi could get you 400whp so saying you want to run a certain psi is useless... What turbo are you talking about?

Just research more, just don't boost it till after it's been tuned on a dyno
