Is there a plate into which the oil filter threads onto that has coolant hoses attached? If so its an oil cooler, and theres a o-ring behind it there deteriorates after time

Your EX Auto has an oil cooler. This oil cooler uses a large o ring that goes in between the cooler and the block. You would need an oil cooler o ring. Honda PN: 91316-PE7-730 O-RING (62.4X3.1). Not sure if the parts stores will have these, they could. Oh, also, make sure ahead of time you have either a 30mm socket or a large enough adj. wrench to get the oil cooler off. Socket and torque wrench for final torque would be best.

Naw its a separate gasket. If u remove the oil filter there is a 22mm or 23mm nut that goes around the threaded part. Take that off and there is a o ring gasket that be messing up sometimes. I would go ahead and replace the oil pressure switch while your at it since u will be in the vicinity. That can make your shit leak too.

if the parts guys cant find you the o ring for the oil cooler this is what you do. go get 2 oil filters that fit your car take the o ring off one of the filters and it will fit between the cooler and the block and use the other filter when you change your oil. the O ring on the filter is the same size as the one from honda.

                          IT IS WHAT IT IS

I wouldn't probably do that. I don't think the rings are exact and when you're dealing with oil things can get pretty messy if not done right. Oil always finds a way to leak if things aren't exact. I got mine from Honda for like $7 I think.

Yeah u might be right. When I changed mine I don't remember it being that big but that was a while back so yeah, 30mm is probably correct.
