They've got the same size 62mm throttle body, just the rotor that holds the cable is different since it has to hold the kickdown cable and the throttle cable.

the vtec powerband isn't as good. you can hit it but you will fallout easier vs a manual. its okay to drive though to get a taste of a h22. when i got my swap done the auto is what i started with.

he means the motor itself that was original in a auto or 5 speed car not how they perform diff as a uto or 5speed.

So if you have a thottle body from a 5spd with an auto tranny, will there be any problems?

Are h22 and h23 throttle bodies interchangable?

The engine itself is exactly the same, to my knowledge.

Yes, H22 and H23 throttle bodies are interchangeable... and yes, you will at least need the throttle rotor from an automatic, not necessarily the whole throttle body.

i was talking about performance wise, different cams?, or something.. if they are completely the same then that opens a whole bunch more motors to buy..

The Euro R motor makes 220 as well... and the early USDM H22 made 190.

But the difference he was asking about was if the auto-equipped H22s made less than the manual-equipped ones. Like the F20B... the auto one makes 180ps, and the manual one makes 200.
