Was your check engine light on when running? If it wasn't on when running and it doesn't flash when jumping the diagnostic connector, then there are no codes stored.

You cant really do it wrong, so if it's not showing any codes, there must not be any.

Yup. There's no code if it ain't flashing when you jump the two pins blue connector.

If the CEL comes on without the paperclip, and you INSURE that you have a great connection when you go to check but nothing flashes, then that usually means the ECU is bad.

Did you jump the connector with the engine running or off with keys on? When I had a bad ECU or chip, the CEL would stay solid even if the connector has been jumped.

Why can't the kiddies continue to follow the rules of the beginner forums once they enter the big boy forums? Do I have to start deleting these posts for crap titles as well?

Usually a solid CEL in this situation means that your ECU is fried. Do you have a CEL on when the car is running (or does it even run at all?)
The D4 is a TCU error code.

The post you deleted was the only post in this thread that shows you did anything right...

If the CEL is on, and jumping the service connector doesn't give you any codes, just a solid light... replace your ECU.
