Inside shift cable bushing worn out...any replacements?

On my 252k mile DD 90 EX 5spd, my shifter has come to the point where the forward and reverse motions are SO sloppy that its becoming irritating when shifting, especially in rush hour traffic.

I just went to Honda where they told me that they don't sell a shifter bushing by itself, I'd have to buy the entire shift cable to replace that one bushing. Then it turned out that the cable is not being manufactured anymore (labeled as discontinued)

So what are my options? make my own? The part seems to have a .550" outer diameter and .439" inner diameter and is about .325" thick made out of this nylon/delrin material.

The Corsport kit only offers the engine bay side bushings which aren't going to fix the sloppy shifter.

found a solution to the problem. Just went to the JY and got the bushing out from another 5spd car. Only I used the one from the D/S shift cable bushing since they seemed to have considerably less wear vs the cable that runs along the pass. side of the car.

This seems to be the only solution since the dealer won't sell you the bushing by itself.

yeah I ended up just taking the entire shift cable eyelet off the JY car and screwing it onto mine. If those are removable, then there has to be a replacement part available through honda. I have a feeling the parts guy was retarded and wanted me to buy the entire shift cable linkage. Even with my Discount Tire Co. discount, it was 250 something for them.

He said they were discontinued but it could also be because I gave him my 1990 CB7's VIN number. Honda's required to still produce parts for the cars for 20 yrs right?
