f22a1 random power loss?

    f22a1 random power loss?

    so as of right now it seems that my car starts to lose power as soon as its "warmed up". once the temperature gauge reaches dead center the car seems to actually drag a little. The gauge also starts at around a quarter beneath cold is that normal for a 93 accord? once reaching the cold marker on the dash it runs fast and peppy but as soon as it gets to the center it becomes sluggish? ive driven the car all over town and the car does seem to get hot but never has it ever overheated on me and thats with around 150 miles in one drive to sometimes 400 in a day and the gauge remains in the middle. so i dont beleive its overheating but i dont have a clue as to why my powers dropping anyone else had this problem?

        this kinda happen to my old s13,when i took it for a drive in the morning,it feels like i have alot of power,but as soon as the motor heats up it feels weak.i found out my sparkplug wires were giving up on me once they get hot..

        my next guess,maybe your o2 sensor is getting bad when it gets hot,but i know o2 sensors are suppose to perform better once they get hot.

          Key word, "supposed" to work better. If the o2 sensor is bad, it's gonna work worse.

          Pull a plug, see if your car runs too rich when it gets warm.

            question: is it white when rich? or what color does the tip turn?

            and hmmm sparkplug wires have been on for around hmmm 6k to 8k miles? accel 8mm i beleive.

              White=lean, black=rich. Then there's other signs that will indicate timing being off or etc. Easy to find a chart online just google "How to read a spark plug"
