    Gator axles

I've seen a couple of people on here who have gator axles on their CB. I was wondering how much did you guys get them for, for what application, and if it was worth it? They seem legit. They make the axles to order and have a form you have to fill out so they can make it for your SPECIFIC application. Wasn't sure where to post this thread. thanks.

I like driveshaft shop axles better. You can get a set for about 350 for the regular level 0 or 850 for level 3 axles good up to 500 hp. I bought some level 2 ones i found used and had them rebuilt with new grease/boots and they work perfectly.

I've seen some serious immature shennanigans from the owner of the driveshaft shop... so Gator is DEFINITELY the way I'd go.

If you're not making a ton of power, or doing some hardcore racing, you really don't even need upgraded axles. people make 400whp easily on stock axles.

I personally love Stranger products. I have no idea if they even make FWD axles, but for RWD thats all I would use. 35 spline Stranger axles in a Ford 9" with a Stranger spool equals hard launches all day without braking!

personally I have always like DSS and they have always giving me great customer service when helped when needing a replacement part in a hurry for a race.

But deevergote is correct there is no need unless you are making some serious power and have the need for them. Factory axles can handle 300+whp and even more if you know how to preload in a drag racing application. Good motor mounts and good aliment helps a lot to prevent damage to axles as well

x2 they were VERY cooperative when I found some of their older Level 2 axles locally on Craigslist. I ended up having to swap the B-series inner joint on the P/S for the correct H-series joint because it was incorrect and kept popping out, not locking into the transmission and they gave me a brand new outer joint on the D/S since it was clicking, probably due to wear from the previous owner.

I must've sent them the axles about 3 times to get this resolved, since I really didn't know the history of them, guy said it was from his 93 accord sedan but I didn't physically see him take them out, so that caused some confusion on my part. But each time, they covered shipping costs back to me all the way from NC.
