    ac pressure relief valve

assuming you have a compressor with a blown pressure relief valve, can you replace the valve its self? mine blew yesterday and i have a spare compressor with a good one on it. can i swap it over or would i have to replace the entire compressor?

If the compressor you would take the valve from is in better condition, then it would be much simpler to just swap compressors. Just remember, if your separate the compressor from the hard lines, you'll need a recharge. I hope this helps.

Yea I think some have a protective plate behind it. Depending on the mods done to your car, it may be a pain and a half to get to.

the valve is easy to get to. its a 14mm stud basically. i already took it off my old one that has a weak clutch. i guess ill give it go.
