I have the Exedy Stage 3 it is hard on the leg until you get use to it.

My plans include Stage 1 cams, ECU tuning, and possibly a good header. Then maybe some headwork. I'm not anywere near needing more holding power just yet!

            eBay shopping, eh?

I've never heard of them aside from ebay... They might be ok, but I don't know. I would spend a little extra to get something well known. If you get a more reputable clutch, you spend more now, but you won't damage anything or have to replace it too soon! Who knows what you get with something cheap. I like clutchcityonline.com. They have great prices on Exedy/ACT combos, and they have a good rep for customer service. That's where I'm getting my setup (whever I get around to it!)

That's too high... There was a deal recently that was $399 shipped to the 48 for Exedy stage 1 and Fidanza. I MIGHT be waiting for that... though I may get impatient and just spend $515 for the Exedy stage 1 and ACT 8.8lb wheel.

high c, what are these deals you speak of? Can you hook me up? Under $400 for a good streetable clutch and a light flywheel would be awesome... as long as they aren't cheapie brands (I can get F1 Racing junk from ebay for $300... who knows what horrors the cheap stuff will bring though!)

he says that he can gaurentee they are tons better then from ebay...i told him just that "yea i can get one from ebay for liek 3, why should i go with urs?" and he told me that he can gaurentee they are a lot better then the ones from ebay. Some other peeps i have talked to running his shit are running more then what he quoted and he has sold a lot of them for all kinds of applications. What kind of application do u need?

this is what he said to me a while ago..."Yes everything you need (bearings and alignment tool included), I guarantee it to be better then the one off ebay. I even offer a 1 yr warranty as long as your honest and not drag racing the thing on 500hp everyday. It will definately hold the numbers you specified. The guys i work with are very good at what they do and will do just the right amount of clamping force from the pp so that your pedal can be comfortable and you can have the piece of mind that the clutch is going to hold."

He offers sprung and unsprung kits, which can change a lot of the clamping force down on the pp...

                    here is a pic...

he is awesome to talk to and seems to know his shit, he is also really customer oriented which is rare in this day and age.

For the lightweight flywheel you are on your own...my best bet would be ebay...if you find a deal tho u need to hook me up if i am going to hook u up.

Of course man! Ebay seems to be the best I can find though. I don't do much offline shopping. Everything I know is from online sources.

Does he have anything closer to a Stage 1 clutch, perhaps for less money? $280 is great for that, which looks similar to what most brands call Stage 3 (also supposedly not extremely streetable, and wears fairly quickly). I'm staying NA (aside from a possible 50 shot) and I don't expect to have more than 250whp within the life of this clutch. I certainly don't need something that can hold 400hp! I'm shooting for the mark 2point6 has set at this time...

I have had this set up for a year now and it is great!

                          Fidanza Flywheel ( 8 lbs. ) -- $200
                          Gripforce Stage 1 Clutch ( www.gripforce.com ) -- $150
Used To Be The One & Only H22 Powered CB7 In Oklahoma! ! !

Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but you still
can't help but smile when you see one tumble down the stairs!

Is the GRC piece good? I've seen them on ebay, and they seem like quality (since the company sells their own stuff on there, and has a good rep so far). I'm afraid to get something so cheap though. That price is almost too good to be true!

I got my exedy clutch from clutchcityonline last year and have had no problems. I think I payed about 100.00. I think I got the stage 1. Its a little better than stock but after I installed it the clutch felt a little softer than before (after bleeding the lines of course). if you go this rout i would upgrade the pressure plate. jmo

my philosophy is it is better to get more then not enough...so i wanted to get something more overboard so i could upgrade in the future...and the 280 includes pressure plate, TOB, alignment tool, and disk...good dela if u ask me...also u dont need to mill the flywheel. If you are looking for a clutch that has good streetability and also great grip for around 250 hp i am going to be selling the one i am currently running on my honda right now...it is a 6 puck and very nice...
