My '93 LX 5sp has had a very small idle problem for 2 or 3 years now. When I let my foot off the gas, even when the engine is fully warm, the idle goes to about 1500rpm. After what I estimate is 5-8 seconds the idle will begin to fall to about 800 and is perfectly smooth.
I did set the base idle properly, and it performs and sounds fine when it does idle correctly. This isn't something I am terribly concerned with, but if it's easy to fix I figure I may as well.
I replaced my manifold with that of an H23A shortly before this started, and I didn't install a FITV, instead choosing to block off the holes on the bottom of the TB. Could this cause the problem I've described?
