Hello peeps,
I have had some weird ignition issues that have been getting progressively worse, so today I pulled the dizzy appart, and had my ICM tested.
Well it failed all over itself. This is an autozone ICM that I bought maybe 2 years ago at most, and the product has a lifetime warranty.
The problem is two fold, first although I bought the product at a good ole autozone down the road in boise idaho. I am currently in billings montana. This puts the nearest autozone at about 350 miles away. I have yet to call autozone and see what they can do for me, but I am trying to decide if it isn't worth it to get a good old honda part due to the important functionality of the ICM.
You see when it went out the first time I was more than 100 miles from anything remotely close to a town that may have an ICM in stock. This caused me to anger and indeed money.
So I am trying to decide if I should get another non honda ICM from NAPA (pretty much everywhere) and then turn in my crappy autozone one for a new one when I return to boise and have an extra, or if it is worth it to just spend the cash on a honda model.
I doubt many people have had this type of issue, but I seem to have bad luck with aftermarket autostore parts, and I don't want to get stranded again.
So thoughts, comments and experiences welcome.
