    H23a VTEC LSD?

I found an H23a VTEC supposedly LSD on CL for 300, and I asked him for a picture.

Now to my understanding Honda LSD transmissions are straight through and if they have the pin they're not LSD. He also says he swears both tires lock up when he burned out.

    Anyone has any insight here?

    well... dont be surprised

found somebody in craigslist that had a f22a6 vtec
yeah, he swore by his mom the engine popped vtec after 4k rpm
and his "airfuel" gauge went green after 4k

the h23a vtec doesnt come manual let alone lsd
if he wouldnt have sent you the pic, then maybe it could have had a m2b4 or a t2t4

but the fact that he did and its got the pin, and his way of knowing is by doing a burnout........ i swear people get more stupid every year

Is this a manual transmission, or an automatic transmission?

I don't believe the H23A VTEC was ever paired to a manual from the factory. I may be wrong... but to my knowledge, they were all automatic.

But yes, you should be able to see straight through with LSD. What's the transmission code? That would be the easier way to find out.

I have a h23a head for sale. Its in very good condition. I hav complete intake man distributor vtec and many other h series parts. The h23a has better cams higher compression valves and mild port. H22s dont! i also have the bottom end disassembled for sale also 1 bad piston. the trans is a sir accord trans fits h and f series blocks. bought it for a swap and car got wrecked. its lsd 5speed, shorter gears like a b series trans.

          $350 for head
          $300 for trans
          make offer,
That's the post from his CL ad. SIR Accord so that's either an H23a or an F20B...

Edit: I just asked for the transmission code and he said it's H2A8 and I googled it and not much came up..

If it's manual, it's from the F20B. If it's auto, it could be either.

I'm finding things about the H2A8 on Google that suggest either a CB transmission, or a 6th gen... but from the sounds of it, it's just from a regular 4 cylinder 5 speed model, not a performance model.

thats the only f/h trans that finishes in 8

              and

              m2z4
              m2t4
              t2t4
those are the only sir transmisions for f/h series hope that helps

thats not an LSD, its an open diff trans. LSDs as you say have no pin in the middle. Another way to check is if you insert axles into the ends, they only spin one way when you turn either axle, not opposite.

Maybe h23 but not lsd. Ask for the number off of it.
