    Swap question

    Hello,

I'm doing an H22 swap on my prelude, and everthings pluged in and the car starts but as soon as it starts the car starts shaking and it turns off, the only way to keep it on is if i give it gas, could it be that my spark plug wires are crossed?

also i dont have my 02 sonsor plugged in since it doesn't reach because of i installed an h22 downpipe, can i cut the wires and add some more wire to make it reach?

    Thanks for your help guys

sounds liek it is running too rich at idle, my f22 with a cam used to do that.

get that o2 working but even without an o2, it should still somewhat idle. does it misfire off idle? the spark plug wires cross would cause a definite miss.
      I <3 G60.

0.5mm Oversized Stainless valves and bronze guides available. Pm me please.

well when i turn the car on, it start fine without a problem, it stays on and the rpms drop to around 200 to 300 rpms but i does not misfire, as for the spark plug wires, i checked them and they are correct. so hopefully when i connect the 02 sensor the car can idle better.

could there be something else that could cause the idle to be so low?

Make sure your spark plug wires are installed in the proper order, and that all ignition components are in good condition.

If you need to extent the o2 sensor wires, extend the wires on the sensor, NOT the wires on the car's harness. Better yet, create your own extension subharness to avoid cutting anything. Be sure to use the exact same gauge wire, as any change could change the sensor's resistance.

Why is this not in the "swaps" section? The people that know the most about the H22 would most likely be in there.

Sorry if i posted this in the wrong section
i just thought i was more of a technical question then a straight swap question, but then again my title does say swap question

the spark plug wires are in correct order, i will be replacing the sparkplugs soon, and extend the 02 sensor.

            thanks Deev
