my 92 EX-R is having some problems gettin from park to reverse (stupid auto trans) It seems to get sticky and u have to actually put some force into moving the gear selector. Any ideas why? Oh and another thing, does anyone know why my car makes a high pitched spinning noise when im moving in reverse? What could be causing that? Thanx for any suggestions.

i have the same problem, haven't gotten to fixing it hopefully i can soon. And in reverse its just gear noise, 100% normal, I believe it was explained here while back, has to do with straight cuts, or something, anyway, its supposed to sound like that. It's when it doesn't that you should start asking questions!
on the stairs, she grabs my arm, says whats up,
where you been, is something wrong?
i try to just smile, and say everything’s fine.

hahah alright thanx. Ya i figured it was suppose to make that noise and that it was just the gears but I thought I would ask anyways. As far as the gear selector being stiff, I may have a mechanic take a look at it but I bet it will work fine when I get around to showing him or he wont be able to fix it. Ah well, the car still works, thats what matters.
