removing cruise control

how the hell ya do it? do i just unplug the thing under the hood? i dont know where to detach the wire that runs through the firewall.

ya i need to know that to. an do you plug up the hose that goes to the intake manifold

Remove the wire that goes through the firewall from the gas pedal. that is pretty much it.

And I just plugged the vac line that goes to the intake mani. Everything is running fine no problems

what does that do

funny i was just thinking about my cruise control on the way to work today. What are the benafits if any of removing it.

Is that the primary cause of cruise control failure? The cruise control unit? Funny, when I bought my car, the owner told me the cruise didn't work because the speed sensor was broke, after fixing that it would be fine. I didn't care, I was so happy to be getting a CB that there could be dead bodies and heroin in the trunk and I'd still buy it. I fixed the speed sensor, and my speedo/odo worked once again, but the cruise still doesn't work. The lights all come on, but nothing happens when you press "resume:.

im not gonna worry about it now, probably gettin a new cb7 and using this one for parts........and get this, i found a cb7 for sale in the paper here
