    gas tank

Mine has a hole in it and it looks like it was covered with jb weld or something of the like. I was wondering if There is any way to properly repair this or will I just have to go gas tank hunting at the jy?

If it can be repaired what kind of shop would do that and how?

If I need another tank how hard is it to remove and what tools would I need?

i say get a JY one . that's the best move IMO, when it comes to your fuel system you do not want any error's.

A man that keeps looking back can't see whats in front of him.

          Really? How?

I was looking through the junk yard web site for prices and it said "Gas tank-35 (may be punctured)"

wtf why would they do that the cheapest trust worthy tank on ebay was 150.
fuck I don't have this kind of spending money. Shit really adds up.

your best bet would find someone parting out an Accord on craigslist and ask them how much for the tank. Tell them you'll take it out and they may even give it to you for free....its less stuff they have to junk afterall.

they're pretty easy to remove, I just removed one on my project car to do a fuel pump. It took me a long time the first time b/c I had to drain a lot of gas out, but once its empty, it weighs no more than 35 lbs or so.

Its 4 lines (probably the hardest part since they've been on there for close to 20 yrs) and 2 straps that hold it in. Pretty easy stuff. Mine had a 17mm drain bolt at the bottom to let the fuel out.

yeah they're all the same 17.1 gal tanks. I'm not too sure about the wagons though, so I'd just stick to coupes/sedans.

Try searching "accord parts" or "accord partout" or "part out". Sometimes you have to get creative in your search criteria. Hell even try "acord" people are stupid lol

Yeah most junkyards just take a pick and swing right into the tank. The car in my signature has a hole in the tank. Very sad IMO for it.
