    Fuel Pump dying symptoms

Anyone know if the fuel pump ... starting to make that whirring sound all the time.. or louder may mean its going out? I noticed it was pretty loud earlier when i was messing with the car.. and it may explain my 32 mpg so far w/the hdeucedeuce.

I am thinking about just swapping it out for another one I have sitting around.. but im guessin that would just end up dying aswell.

I've never heard one make noise, and fuel pump failure is actually pretty uncommon on CB7's. I wouldn't worry too much about it, just drive it till it quits then get a new one.

hmm.. aiight, well i'll be getting a fuel pressure gauge and oil pressure one here soon.

another question, dont wanna start a new thread,

When I make left turns... like sweeping turns(long u-turn or something) my oil light comes on after a few seconds, but then goes off when i straighten out. Im guessing oil is just away from the pickup or something.. but thats not something I want happening. Any guesses on what that could be? And how much would a new pickup run me(parts).

Would baffles welded in the oil pan help keep the oil seated, or would that be too much of a pain?

For daily driving, im not worried about it.. but if there is a sweeping turn during auto-x, and im getting on it while its not squirting oil... i dont want that happening.

and my oil level is fine, just checked it.

Damn, yeah, thats exactly whats happening, the oil is just moving way from the pick-up. uuuhhh....and actually, the oil pan should already have a baffle in it. hmmm, not sure what else you can really do about that. A dry-sump oil system maybe.

I'd be very suprised if you can not find an aftermarket oil pan with baffles, etc for the H22. Do a search, if I come across one I'll holla back.

              Yeah, oil is full..

About aftermarket pans, I have only seen moroso pans.... but they are like 400 shipped, and the only feedback about them, most people say they dont fit correctly.

I do have my old stock one, so maybe i can get it bent back straight(the lip is bent down a little on one side) and I can get someone that knows how to stick some baffles in there. Stock... the pan is smooth, no baffles.

apparently you didnt see my little arguement with h22 sparkle.......said that accord fuel pumps go out all the time if you dont keep the tank full.......
